   Books are my best friend from childhood. Being an introvert child, books had taught me more than people around me in my childhood and teenage years and it’s still the same.

This is the place where I talk about all my favorite books (also update them regularly) and the lessons I have learned over the years. If you like the book just grab and read that book cause ‘Jim Rohn’ beautifully said-

1. Leonardo da Vinci by Walter Isaacson

A book that is very close to my heart. Leonardo da Vinci is my hero and you can imagine the importance of this book for me. If you want to know what a human can achieve in his/her lifetime and what was the mindset of such a person then please read this book once. Walter Isaacson (One of my favorite author) has described da Vincis life beautifully. 

                                       

2. Leonardo da Vinci: A Life From Beginning to End by Hourly History

Don’t have too much time to read but still want to know about Da Vinci. Go for this book. Short and to the point. I have Kindle version of this book and believe me this book will not disappoint you.

 

 

3. So good they Can’t Ignore You by Cal Newport

Seriously, this book has changed me a lot. The way I used to think about passion, skill, work etc. and I am sure it will change you too. Cal Newport will teach you the harsh truth contrary to what society teaches you. You should definitely read this book.

 

 4. Where Good Ideas come from by Steven Johnson

Devoid of Ideas or looking for that great Idea. This book will teach you how Ideas comes to mind. What you think, falling off the apple on Newton is the only reason for the discovery of Gravitation. Was it just accidental? or there was much more in that discovery. How Darwin discovered ‘theory of evolution’ and many more. To find out you must read this wonderful book.

 

                                                                 

5. Wings of Fire by A.P.J Abdul Kalam

The journey of a man from an ordinary Indian with the dream in his mind to the president of India. The story of ‘Missile Man’ can Inspire anyone. As he said

“Dream is not something that you see in sleep.  Dream is that which does not allow to sleep”   

                                                             

6. Benjamin Franklin by Walter Isaacson

Another Walter Issacson’s masterpiece. Benjamin Franklin’s life is an example of how much human beings can achieve and contribute if our direction in life is in the right direction. Read this one and take the learnings.

 

 7. The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg

I think the headline in the book is interesting enough to catch your mind ‘ Why do we do what we do and how to change it’. And it answers also in the book. How Small things in life shapes our entire life read this book to know in detail.

 

 8. How to win friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

Are you that shy and socially awkward person who always afraid of meeting new people, starting a conversation with strangers, then this book is a gem for you. I think for everyone this book is a must read, after all, who doesn’t like to be famous and appreciated by people.

9. How to stop worrying and start living by Dale Carnegie

Another great book by Dale Carnegie. Feeling frustrated and worried sometimes becomes normal in life. In those times it’s important to redirect life on the correct path to live a worthy life. This book is full of Practical pieces of advice to start living again from adverse situations.

 

10. Flow by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi 

Have you experienced sometimes while reading a book or doing any activity you like you are so involved in that you lost the track of time? How would it be if you can achieve that state at your will (which the author calls here flow state). Why do you get bored doing that job which once seems interesting and challenging to you?  If you are interested to know all these in detail then this book is for you. Scientific explanations of ‘flow state’, how to achieve it again and again. 

 

11.  Deep Work by Cal Newport

Another great book by one of my favorite author Cal Newport. According to the author ‘Deep Work’ is a rare and most valuable thing in today’s distracted world. The more you can do it, more valuable you will become. Most people are busy in shallow work, performing while they are distracted. This book teaches how to perform ‘Deep work’ and why it is important to get your creative output.

12. Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert kiyosaki

  If you have the option to read only one book on finance. This is book for you. Financial literacy is something our schools don’t teach us, nobody will ever teach you about finance until you are willing to learn about this important topic. This book will help you learn you about terms such as cash flow, assets, liabilities etc and why your salary will never give you financial freedom until you have proper knowledge about money. A must-read book.

13. The monk who sold his Ferrari by Robin Sharma

The title of the book so catchy, it draws attention instantly. I mean why would anyone want to sell a beautiful Ferrari. In a time when people are getting burnt out, stress has become an inevitable part of life, the author talks about how few practices can change your life, can make you calm from inside and outside. Reading this book itself is a serene experience.

 

14. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

This book needs no introduction. A masterpiece. It took  more than 20 years for Napoleon Hill to complete this book.  Until now more than 100 million copies are being sold. Do you need any other reasons why should you read this gem.    But read the complete edition book.  

15. The Minimalist Mindset by Darren Dover

This book will teach you why the addition of good things in life is not possible without subtraction of your bad habits. In most areas of life whether it is finance. work, relationship and even with things like clothing, gifts you can apply minimalism to make your life clutter free and peaceful. This book will show you that exact roadmap for doing that.

A book which contains all the ingredients to make your life better and fulfilled and most importantly everything the author talks about in the book is backed by scientific research. The author has gathered a lot of scientific results on what truly makes our life better with real-life examples which ranging from Newton to Einstienàs life. You will feel like reading 10 great books within one book. A great read especially if you love science.

17. 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher

One of my favorite fiction. With an amazing plot and story, this book can teach you so many things. Do you pass negative comments about other people? Do you think the spreading rumor is not a big deal? Do you stand with people you love at their loneliest times? This book will teach you how significant these questions are. ‘Everything affects everything’ that’s what author conveys here. Your small act of stupidity can bring havoc in someone’s life. Based on a high school girl Hannah Baker, this book is about 13 reasons what led her to commit suicide. 

 

18. Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus by John Gray

I am sure whether you are a man or a woman, you must have thought why the opposite sex is so strange. Men find woman strange and confusing, the same is the case for women. Well, it’s not your fault. Men and women are designed differently. Not just biological but there are many psychological differences between men and women the way they express them. So the only way to have a better relationship between the opposite sex is to understand each other better. That’s where this book is so useful. The author starts with an analogy that earlier men lived in Mars and women in Venus But the problem arose when they started living together on earth. Don’t worry John Gray will help you to know your significant other at a deeper level.

If you are looking for a book which can intelluctually stimulate you, then this one is a good choice. With tons of real life examples and backed by scientific research, the author described why even the smartest people on earth do blunders, why most people’s idea about intelligence is not correct and how to define intelligence in proper manner? How intelligence can be cultivated? You will learn how curiosity, growth mindset, and consciousness are three biggest pillars for intelligence. Along with all these you will learn some new terms like productive struggle, intelluctual humility and many more. This book must be on your reading list.

20. The Science of Intelligent Achievement by Isaiah Hankel

A great book for those who want growth, focus and abundance in their life. The author speak about the harsh truths which are blocking you from growing. What I like most is, it’s not the kind of book which tells you just dos and dont’s. It present things with scientific rationale. Whether it’s your personal life or professional life, this book talks about both. The book divided about three parts- selective focus, creative ownership, and pragmatic growth. I am sure you will get to know a lot of insights from this book. A great book. Go for it.
